"If a multinational company developed a product that was a nutritionally balanced and delicious food, a wonder drug that both prevented and treated disease, cost almost nothing to produce and could be delivered in quantities controlled by the consumers' needs, the very announcement of their find would send their shares rocketing to the top of the stock market. The scientists who developed the product would win prizes and the wealth and influence of everyone involved would increase dramatically. Women have been producing such a miraculous substance, breastmilk, since the beginning of human existence."

As well as Micah reaching the wonderful 1 year yesterday we also celebrated our one year anniversary of breastfeeding!! This is brand new territory for me as I've never fed a baby past 10 months but we're doing great, Micah is feeding well (when he's not too distracted) and it's a lovely way to get a busy 1 year old to sit with you and cuddle for a 'rest'!
I'm reading and learning lots about the great benefits of extended breastfeeding and think we'll leave this one up to Micah...watch this space!

Happy 1 year Breastfeeding. We are celebrating 18 months of that special time this month. Little Joy Ann and I snuggle while she eats 4 to 5 times a day. I'm letting her take the lead in letting me know when it will be time to stop. She is probably my last so I am really enjoying our time together.
Enjoy!
Jenny
Thanks Jenny - and well done you and Joy Ann; enjoy :)
